Shawn O’Shea has been named the new principal for the new school in the Whispering Ridge subdivision. Peace Wapiti Public School Division says O’Shea will continue serving as Principal at the Clairmont Community School for the remainder of the year.
O’Shea has over a decade worth of experience in an administrative role and he holds a Master’s degree in Administration and Leadership. He also has experience as Principal of Woking school and Assistant Principal at Peace Wapiti Academy.
O’Shea says he looks forward to connecting with the community as well as the future students, parents and teachers. PWPSD says opening a new school can include interpreting blueprints and managing purchasing processes. The school is set to open up in September 2017 and set to receive an official name after a meeting being held on January 21st, 2016.
