UPDATE: semi driver, witness identified in connection to sudden death in Valleyview

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has charged a Valleyview resident with second-degree murder in connection to a sudden death on April 9.

Police say that on April 9, at around 11:30 p.m., a 38 year-old Valleyview resident was killed.

RCMP say that with help from the public, Mounties were able to identify and arrest a 27 year-old Valleyview resident with second-degree murder.

However, with the investigation still ongoing police are hoping to speak with the driver of a semi-truck who was passing in the area at the time the altercation occurred. Mounties say they would like to speak with the driver to possibly get dashcam footage.

If you know of the driver, you are asked to contact the Valleyview RCMP.
