Freezing rain warning issued for Grande Prairie region

A freezing rain warning has been issued for much of the Peace Region Tuesday.

Environment Canada says freezing rain will begin this morning in the Grande Prairie area and will spread into areas north of Edmonton by midday before tapering off this evening.

Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
