UPDATE: More than $20K raised for family of three year old crash victim

More thanĀ $20,000 has been raised for the family of a little girl killed in a crash near Nampa. Audrey was riding in a pickup with her mother and three sisters Friday night when they missed a stop sign and crashed into a semi tractor trailer loaded with canola on Highway 2.

The three year old was killed when she was ejected from the vehicle, and the rest of her family was taken to hospital. According to a GoFundMe page, 34 year old Alana Warkentin and six year old Rebekah were airlifted to the University of Alberta Hospital, while seven year old Elizabeth and one year old Kaylee are recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

The donations raised are going to help dad Josh stay by his family’s side in Edmonton, along with covering funeral and hospital costs. An investigation into the fatal crash continues, but fog is believed to be a factor. No charges have been laid so far.
