Arrest warrant issued for High Prairie murder suspect

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man charged with the murder of a man in High Prairie last summer. 20 year old Ryan Ellefson was found unconscious at a gas station in the early morning hours of July 29th and later passed away in hospital.

His death was deemed a homicide and 20 year old Jesse Prestly Laboucan is now the suspect. Laboucan is believed to be in the High Level area, but he’s also known to frequent areas of northern Alberta like Grande Prairie, Peace River, Hay River, High Prairie, and Slave Lake.

RCMP think Laboucan knows they’re looking for him and is actively avoiding being arrested. If you think you know where he is, don’t approach him and instead contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
