Bear Creek Ball Diamonds gets new moniker following new partnership

Bear Creek Ball Diamonds will be renamed Fossil Energy Ball Park.

The city says that the new partnership reflects the values between local businesses and the city.

Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton says that a partnership like this one helps represent the community spirit we have in the Peace Region.

“The ball diamonds have long been part of Grande Prairie’s recreation history and continue to bring people together through sport and community spirit. We are grateful to Fossil Energy for their partnership and their commitment to supporting spaces that strengthen connections across our community.”

Fossil Energy General Manager Justin Lieverse says the sponsorship helps the company give back to the community.

“Sponsoring the local ball diamonds—now Fossil Energy Ball Park—is our way of giving back and creating a space where families, friends and neighbors can come together. Just like in our work, teamwork and community spirit are at the heart of everything we do.”

Updated signage in the area will be put installed next spring.
