The City of Grande Prairie is asking the community to test their internet speed in part with the Fibre Gap Analysis Project.
The project is in connection with the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, which helps them better understand local internet services, and help identify areas for improvement for across the city.
By giving your internet speed and reliability to the city, the city says it will help improve planning, boost economic readiness, and increase transparency, and identify points of interest on where the city may need to improve the speed.
Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton says that by taking this test, it can help out others in the community.
“The Fibre Gap Analysis Project reflects our commitment to understanding local service needs and ensuring Grande Prairie remains well-connected for the future. We encourage all our local residents and businesses to take part in the quick online test to support reliable, high-quality internet which is essential to support our growing community, attract new investment and enable innovation.”
