Several guns stolen in similar Dawson Creek break ins

Police in Dawson Creek believe two recent break ins are connected. On December 28th and January 4th, homes in the B.C. community were broken into in the same way, with thieves taking several firearms and household items.

RCMP says they gained entry in the same way in both cases, and the same items were targeted. Both houses could also be accessed by alleys.

Corporal Dave Tyreman is reminding residents to make sure they don’t have anything lying around the outside of their house like ladders and hammers that could be used to break in. Gun owners are also encouraged to take extra precautions in securing their firearms.
