Guilty pleas in Highway 43 pellet gun shooting

Less than a year after he was accused of shooting Highway 43 vehicles with a pellet gun, Fadi Korkis has plead guilty to multiple charges. The then-22 year old was arrested on February 2nd, 2015, after multiple reports of damaged vehicles.

One truck driver said a vehicle pulled up beside him shooting and damaged his window, while a woman driving a semi near Valleyview needed medical attention after being hit in the head. Korkis was pulled over near Debolt in a vehicle that matched the description given to police and was taken into custody without incident.

A pellet gun was found by Police Dog Services along the highway. Guilty pleas were entered Monday on charges of assault with a weapon, impaired driving, careless driving and mischief to property. Sentencing will be April 18th.
