Party has been identified for an Asphalt spill in late August

The party responsible for what is believed to be an asphalt spill that caused a bit of a mess last month have been identified.

Grande Prairie Municipal Enforcement Services officials say thanks to tips from the public, they believe they were able to pinpoint the truck which asphalt that had fallen off of while driving along 116 Street between 77 Avenue and 84 Avenue, south of Costco on August 28th.

The black material was spread across the road, causing a potential hazard to motorists that morning.
