Man Van is rolling into Grande Prairie this weekend

The Man Van will be back in Grande Prairie on Saturday.

The Man Van is a mobile men’s health clinic that travels around the province, providing the opportunity for men aged from 40 to 70 to get tested for early signs of prostate cancer for free.

Communications Supervisor Laura Barker says it’s vitally important for men in the age group to get tested.

“They just show up, and we’ll do the rest. It takes about 15 minutes, Its really quick and beneficial to be making sure you are staying on top of your health. If caught early it’s highly treatable.”

The health clinic on wheels will be doing more than just bloodwork, as they will also offer blood pressure, and mental health wellness screenings to any men that are over 18 years old.

The Man Van will be located at the Grande Prairie Chambers from 11:00am to 3:00pm, there is no Alberta health care card required.
