GirlZone returns for the 4th year

The City of Grande Prairie will be hosting their 4th annual GirlZone on Saturday, October 4th.

The event will allow girls from ages of 10-15 to try activities that they may have not been able to try before, while building confidence in a supportive setting.

Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton talked about what this event means to the community.

“GirlZone has become a highlight for many young people in our community. It’s about opening doors, sparking new interests and showing girls that their place in sport and recreation matters.”

Some of the activities the girls will get to participate in include dance, squash, soccer, volleyball and more.

Registration will set you back roughly $20 but includes lunch.

If you would like to register, or see a full list of activities you can check out the city’s website.
