The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital Emergency Department will be temporarily closed on Thursday due to a lack of clinical personnel.
According to Alberta Health Services, the ED will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., however, nursing staff will remain on-site in the emergency department providing triage, assessments, and referrals for patients to alternate emergency departments in neighbouring communities.
Anyone who experiences an emergency is asked to call 911.
Depending on their needs, patients should remain aware of services available through local pharmacies by calling Health Link at 811, available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions.
