Saddle Hills County Health Clinic facing lengthy closure

The Saddle Hills County Health Clinic will be temporarily closed for upwards of 18 months.

The news comes after it was announced that the current Nurse Practitioner will be commencing maternity leave in October of this year, and while recruitment efforts remain ongoing, no cover has been attained.

County officials say clinic patients are advised to begin arranging alternative care through their primary care providers, if available. Alternatively, patients may utilize walk-in clinics or
virtual care services, or visit the emergency room for more urgent concerns.

Officials say existing patients have been provided with prescription refills, where appropriate, to cover them for a reasonable period, until alternative care can be arranged. As of today, the clinic will temporarily cease operations from October 25th, but updates will be made available if the situation changes.
