Eastlink Centre annual aquatics maintenance shutdown has begun

You will have to find somewhere else to swim, as the Eastlink Centre aquatics centre will be shutdown from September 1st to October 5th 2025.

This shutdown allows important tasks to be completed, that are hard to complete when the aquatic’s centre is open. The following tasks will be worked on during the month long shutdown:

  • Refurbishing the splash pad.
  • Tile repairs in family and adult hot tubs.
  • Painting throughout the pool area.
  • Repairing the pool basin.
  • Surge tank cleaning and inspection.
  • Refurbishing the sauna.
  • Change room maintenance and repairs.

With the aquatics area not available at this time, the Aquatera outdoor pool will be open until September 21st.

Members are encouraged to use all other areas of the facility including drop-in fitness classes, PlayCare, the fitness centre, walking track and the Design Works Centre.

Eastlink Centre memberships are eligible to be paused or cancelled during the shutdown. Members interested in this option may do so by contacting Access GP at 311, or online at access.cityofgp.com.
