Legion hosted First Responders Appreciation Day returns September 13th

You can give a tip of the hat to first responders from across Grande Prairie as First Responders Appreciation Day will be marked in the Swan City later this month.

The community all day event this weekend will include demonstrations from the Technical Search and Rescue, along along with other activities, including a bouncy castle.

“This event is a way for our community to come together and show appreciation for the dedication, sacrifice, and service of our First Responders,” said Dean Langton, President of the
Grande Prairie Legion. “We want to celebrate their commitment while also providing families with a fun and memorable day.”

First Responders Appreciation Day is being held outside of the Grande Prairie Legion #54 on 101 Avenue on September 13th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include a free BBQ lunch as well as a large cake cutting.
