Mobile mammography trailer to provide testing in Hyth in September

The mobile mammography trailer will be in Hythe in September.

The mobile clinic is part of Primary Care Alberta’s Screen Test program and will be at the Hythe Legion from September 23rd to 27th. Cancer screening will be offered to women aged 45 to 74 years-old.

According to health officials, those in this age group are most at risk for developing breast cancer, and the x-ray of the breast, known as a mammogram, is a proven way to catch it early on.

” Screening mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early when treatment may work better.”

Appointments can be booked by calling 1-800-667-0604. More information can be found on the Screening for Life website.
