Tea time at Reverend Forbes Homestead

It’s tea time at Reverend Forbes Homestead over the next couple of months.

According to the City of Grande Prairie, the community is being invited to take part in the afternoon tradition at the heritage site. Through out July and August the heritage site will be hosting a 2 p.m. tea on select days.

Mayor Jackie Clayton this is a tradition the city is proud to continue.

“Events like this enhance our quality of life by offering meaningful experiences that celebrate our local history, foster a sense of belonging, and keep our community’s stories alive,” Clayton states. “We invite everyone to come explore the beautiful historic home and hospital of Dr. and Mrs. Forbes while enjoying an afternoon of tea and treats.”

Tea will be held on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s through out the summer. It costs $10 per person, including a large scone with jam, butter and choice of tea, coffee or juice.
