City warns of fake bus passes being sold online

The city is warning people against being taken in by fake transit superpasses being shared or sold on social media.

Officials are reminding everyone that only transit passes purchased directly from the City or through approved vendors are valid for use on Grande Prairie Transit. Anything knowingly obtained through unofficial channels are not accepted onboard.

If you do come across a suspicious post or offer that is not from an official City of Grande Prairie channel, you’re being encouraged to report it through the platform where it was found.

You can find actual transit superpasses, and other info about transit in the city here.
