The community is being invited to the Grande Prairie Traditional Pow Wow this weekend at Evergreen Park.
The free event is being held in the Tara Centre, with several special events taking place over the three days. Some of these events include the honouring of outgoing Grande Prairie Swan City Princess Arriana Labrecque-Demarais and the Indigenous Graduate Honoring.

As well there will be a Métis Celebration, Dancers & Drum Groups and a Hand Games Tournament for $10,000 plus 100 per cent of the registration fees collected. To take part in the Hand Games Tournament there needs to be eight people on a team, and it is a triple knockout layout.
Volunteers are still needed for the event.
On Friday the Grand Entry is at 7 p.m., on Saturday it is at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday it is at 1 p.m.
