RCMP follow footprints to find B&E suspect hiding

Fresh footprints led mounties to a man suspected of breaking in to an oil field site last Thursday. The break and enter was reported to Beaverlodge RCMP at 1:30 a.m. on December 17th, and the caller said they could see a man carrying a bag on a surveillance camera.

When officers got there, the spotted the footprints in the snow, and with the help of Police Dog Services, found the suspect hiding in the trees. 48 year old Lloyd Hagedorn of Grande Prairie has been charged with break and enter, mischief over $5,000, theft under $5,000 and possession of break in instruments.

He appeared in court on Monday.
