Evacuation order lifted for some areas as Kelly Lake wildfire remains out of control

The County of Grande Prairie has lifted the evacuation order for everyone north of Township Road 700 to 710, everyone north of Township Road 740 to Highway 43, and west of the BC/AB border to Range Road 130. The evacuation order for this part of the county has been downgraded to an evacuation alert.

The evacuation order remains in effect for everyone north of Township Road 710 to 740, east of the British Columbia/ Alberta border to Range Road 130.

Residents in areas under an evacuation alert should remain prepared to leave on short notice. Whenever an evacuation order is issued, residents have just 30 minutes to leave.
