Grande Prairie’s outdoor playing fields are off limits for this weekend.
Recent rain and snow melt has softened the turf, making it easily damaged.
The City argues it’s important for them to dry in order to maintain their integrity.
Staff will check again on Monday to figure out when they can be used again.
