Alberta royalty review report delayed until January

The results of Alberta’s royalty review have been delayed. The much anticipated report from the panel won’t be released until early January, a few weeks later than originally planned.

Recommendations from the panel, which includes Beaverlodge mayor Leona Hanson, were supposed to be out by the end of the year. The panel came through Grande Prairie in September, when Chair Dave Mowat of ATB Financial says its goals were to optimize the return for Albertans and investors, while keeping diversification and responsible development in mind.

Premier Rachel Notley says they just need a little more time to make sure they get it right.
