Sunday will be a good day for Grande Prairie families to get outdoors and get into the festive spirit. The annual Santa parade is being held downtown, starting from 102 Street near the 214 building at 1 pm. It will last about half an hour and make it’s way east on 100 Ave before finishing near the Centre for Creative Arts.
The parade will be followed by holiday activities at the Grande Prairie Museum from 2 to 6 pm. There will be christmas crafts, a sleigh ride, cookies, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will also be a Christmas concert at 2:30.
The parade itself will be held weather permitting, but the forecast for Sunday looks promising with a high of -1 in the forecast along with a mix of sun and cloud.
