Windrow Removal Program open to Grande Prairie’s seniors, disabled

The city wants to remind some of Grande Prairie’s more senior residents about their Residential Windrow Removal Program. The program is also open to residents with disabilities who have no one else in their home that is able to clear their driveways after snow is cleaned off streets in their neighborhoods.

Transportation Services Manager Robert Carroll says there are a number of residents who already utilize the program and they have had a lot of positive feedback as a result. Anyone who would like apply for the windrow removal program can do so by visiting City Hall and requesting the service.

Carroll says the city wants to make sure the program continues to serve those in the city who truly need it. The first round of residential snow removal wrapped up in Grande Prairie Tuesday, with the second round currently underway.
