Another delay in Falher double homicide trial

Yet another trial date will be needed for a man accused of killing two woman from the Falher area.

54 year old Edward John Chomiak of Nampa is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the December 2010 deaths of his estranged wife 45 year old Melody Perry and her daughter 20 year old Jerica Bouchard. Their bodies were found at a home the morning of December 15th after police and EMS followed up on a 9-1-1 hang up call.

A fourth attempt at a trial was started Monday in Peace River, but YL Country reports that Chomiak has fired his most recent lawyer citing a lack of disclosure. A new date has been set for April 26th to May 6th, 2016 here in Grande Prairie.
