92 Street Liquor Depot hit by armed robber

There has been yet another robbery at a liquor store in Grande Prairie. The Liquor Depot on 92 Street was robbed just before 11 pm Wednesday evening. Police say a man entered the store and threatened the clerk with a knife, demanding cash from the till.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and then left the store heading westbound. RCMP Police Dog services were called to the scene but they were unable to locate the man. He is described as Caucasian, about 50 years old with a thin, even gaunt, frame and grey facial stubble .

He was wearing silver rimmed glasses and may have had a splint on his nose. He also had on a blue and grey plaid Dickies work coat, a grey toque, dark pants, and black gloves.

This is the second time in a little over a month that the 92 Street Liqour Depot has been hit by an armed robbery. The suspect in the October 13 robbery was a woman.

Anyone who may have information on the suspect or the robbery is asked to contact local RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
