2nd Annual Try-It Day set for Saturday

A number of different sports and activities at 13 different facilities will be free for Grande Prairie children to try this Saturday. The Grande Prairie Sport Council is hosting its second annual Try-It Day, in conjunction with RBC’s Sports Day in Canada.

The day of free sports exploration is open to kids between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. The 13 facilities taking part this year include the Eastlink Centre, the Gymnastics Centre, Maude Clifford School, the Wapiti Shooters Club, the GPRC Climbing Wall, Komodo Academy, the GP Martial Arts Academy, A.P.E. Dojo, Tien Lung Taekwondo School, Champion Gym, the GP Curling Club, and the Crosslink County Sportsplex.

So far more than 450 kids have signed up to take part from 10 am to 4 pm for Try-It Day Saturday. Last year more than 250 kids took part in the first event.
