Beaverlodge hires new CAO

Bill McKennan will stay on as Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Beaverlodge. The financial consultant has been in the position on an interim basis since July, when former CAO Chris Parker resigned to move to Peace River.

McKennan has 30 years experience in municipal government, including senior leadership roles, and is both a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.

Mayor Leona Hanson says the town council has decided he has the right qualities to lead them on a permanent basis starting Monday. McKennan says he’s looking forward to working on many projects that are underway in the town.
