As of tomorrow parking bans will be in effect on Priority 1 and 2 routes around the city. Grande Prairie saw more than 15 centimetres of snow yesterday which will have snow removal crews busy getting things cleaned up.
Those main arterial, collector, and transit routes will have parking bans in effect from 7 am to 9 pm until roads are fully plowed and windrows are removed. Enforcement Services will be keeping an eye out for vehicles parked in those areas and will be handing out tickets and towing cars when necessary.
The bans allow city snow removal crews to clear up main roadways in the safest and most efficient way possible.
