Both the Grande Prairie Legion and the Army Navy Airforce Veterans are planning ceremonies for Wednesday to mark Remembrance Day. Canadians across the country will be remembering and honouring veterans and those troops that gave their lives in service on Wednesday.
Here in Grande Prairie the Legion will be holding their annual ceremony at Revolution Place with doors opening at 9:45, the Legionnaires March at 10:45, and two minutes of silence at 11 am. Over at the Jubilee Park Cenotaph the ANAVETS will have a wreath laying following a moment of silence at 11 am.
In the County of Grande Prairie the Legions for Hythe, Sexsmith, and Beaverlodge have Remembrance Day ceremonies planned as well.
