Valleyview woman recognized for long-time service to 4-H

A Valleyview woman has been named to Alberta’s 4-H Hall of Fame. Sherry Howey was a 4-H member when she was young and continued herĀ involvement in the program as an adult.
She has been a leader and a volunteer for over 15 years and has held positions at both district and regional levels, and has been involved at a provincial level as well. Howey is the 83rd person to be inducted into the province’s 4-H Hall of Fame.
Agriculture Minister Oneil Carlier says she is an example of how generations of Albertans continue to value and contribute to the Alberta’s 4-H program.
