An R&B Oilfields Rentals employee is recovering from serious injuries at the University of Alberta Hospital. The 28 year old man was at a Blackbird Energy site south of Grande Prairie Wednesday trying to roll up a tarp when he was lifted into the air by a gust of wind.
He landed on his head and was flown by STARS Air Ambulance in stable condition around 3 p.m. He was later transported to Edmonton for further treatment for his multiple injuries.
Alberta Occupation Health and Safety is investigating the incident.
