Man in van approaches child outside Alexander Forbes School

RCMP are looking for information on a man who reportedly approached a young boy outside Alexander Forbes School yesterday.

Police say around 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon a man in an older style black cargo van pulled up near a 10 year old boy and told him that his mother had sent him to pick the boy up. The child ran from the vehicle and went inside the school. The driver is described as male, Caucasian, with light coloured eyes and wearing a ski mask and black jacket.

Anyone with information on the driver or the van is asked to contact RCMP. Parents are reminded to talk to their children about staying away from strangers and to report anything suspicious to a trusted adult immediately.
