GPRC Alumni gives back

The Grande Prairie Regional College is offering a big thanks to it’s Alumni Foundation for helping to secure more than 2 million dollars for improvements to the school.

In 2014 and 2015 the GPRC Alumni Foundation was able to raise close to a million dollars through community contributions and more than doubled that amount by securing more than $1.1 million from the Government of Alberta’s Access to the Future Funds. That money was presented to the school earlier this week. It will go towards benefiting one time capital projects and initiatives, including student focused programs and student financial aid.

It will also go towards continuing improvements on the college’s multi-year Theatre Concourse project, which is turning the corridor of offices outside of the Douglas J Cardinal Theatre into to a new common space for students.
