There’s been another ALERT drug bust in Grande Prairie. A home in Countryside South was searched last Friday, and officers turned up 28 grams each of cocaine and meth, 40 fentanyl pills, and 58 grams of marijuana.
Also seized was a Smith and Wesson handgun reported stolen in a break and enter in B-C in 2010. Communications Manager Mike Tucker said it was found unsecured and easily accessible in a bedroom, near loose bullets. More ammunition was found scattered around the house.
32 year old Kelly Scott Parlby and 22 year old Alicia Lorna Derksen were arrested and charged with a total of 31 offences related to guns and drugs. Parlby is also facing additional charges as he’s not allowed to own guns or ammunition because of a previous criminal conviction. He also drove a vehicle while suspended.
ALERT first heard about his suspected drug dealing in early August, thanks to tips from the public.
