High Prairie, Dawson Creek back in NPHL

The North Peace Hockey League will have eight teams this year. The Dawson Creek Canucks and the High Prairie Regals opted out of the 2014/2015 season, but both will return this fall.

They’ll compete against the Grande Prairie Athletics, the Falher Pirates, the Grimshaw Huskies, the Manning Comets, and the Fort St. John Flyers, along with the Spirit River Rangers, who have won the championship for the past three years. The regular season starts on October 24th, running through the end of January.

The Lakeland Eagles and Hythe Mustangs both folded at the end of the 2013/2014 season with no apparent plans to return.
