41 wanted people were arrested in just three days last week in Whitecourt. A warrant round up was held from September 16th to 18th, with help from officers from five western Alberta detachments.
57 warrants were executed for everything from unpaid fines to serious Criminal Code offenses. Similar blitzes were held in Grande Prairie last November and Peace River in April, and more are planned for other detachment in the province.
Whitecourt RCMP will still be on the lookout for people with outstanding warrants. Anyone who believes they may have an unresolved court matter is encouraged to turn themselves in.
