Approval for chamber sign stalled

Approval for the Chamber of Commerce’s electronic roadside sign has stalled after an error was made in approving the sign at City Council’s September 8 meeting.

Council was required to give further approval Monday evening before the Chamber could move forward with installation, but that process was blocked by Councillor Dwight Logan. The motion will return to council during their October 5 meeting.

The Chamber of Commerce will have to wait until that approval is given before they can move forward with erecting their sign, which is planned to sit between the Centre 2000 parking lot and the Highway 43 bypass.
