Yet another community is celebrating it’s centennial. The hamlet of Clairmont is marking the milestone during its annual fall fair this weekend. The newly constructed Adventure Park will mark the start of the festivities at 9 am Saturday morning with the unveiling of a new donation.
Things will then head to the Clairmont Community School where there will be a pancake breakfast and tours of the Wellington Resource Centre. A parade starting at 11 will also make its way past the school, the arena, and down the service road that runs alongside Highway 2.
The arena will play host to an old fashioned fair from noon until 3 pm. There will be games and activities for the kids along with a barbecue lunch, wagon rides, and gold panning.
You can also take in historical displays and enjoy some homemade pie across the way at the Clairmont Seniors Centre.
