Next Tuesday volunteers will be out in full force to help bring in donations for what is the biggest food drive of the year for the Salvation Army Food Bank.
The September drive helps refill shelves of the food bank in time for the holiday season each year, and this year the need is just as great as always. The drive will begin at 5 pm Tuesday evening and aims to knock on every door in the city.
If you know you will not be home Tuesday evening but would like to make a donation, you can do so by dropping it off directly at the Salvation Army.
Families, corporate teams, and other community groups who would like to volunteer their time are encouraged to do so. You are asked to arrive at the D’Coy Armories Building for 5 pm on Tuesday if you would like to be involved.
