Firefighters to camp out for Muscular Dystrophy

Members of the Community Foundation for the County of Grande Prairie Firefighters are going to be camped out for a good cause this weekend.

The 48 hour Rooftop camp out for Muscular Dystrophy is getting underway Friday evening at 8 pm and wrapping up on Sunday.

Firefighters will be spending their weekend on the roof of Happy Trails RV, and are hoping to raise $6000 this year. Firefighter Brian Ball says they would like to pass last year’s fundraising total of $4900.

All the proceeds raised will go towards Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Members will also be hosting free barbecues both Friday and Saturday at from 11:30 am to 1 pm for anyone who would like to come out and support their cause.
