A woman wound up in hospital early this morning after falling into a hole in a construction area downtown. A section of resources road between 100th and 101st Avenues has been closed to traffic as crews have started road work in the area near the Aberdeen Centre.
Platoon Chief Tony Lutzmann says the woman fell head first into a four foot deep excavation hole around 3 a.m. this morning and was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The hole had been barricaded and taped off prior to her falling in.
Lutzmann says the woman is believed to have been under the influence at the time.
