Fort McMurray Oil Barons have fired coach and general manager Gord Thibodeau.
He had been with the club for 12 years, leading them to one AJHL title in 2006, and five other appearances in the final.
This year, the Oil Barons had the second best record in the league, and led Spruce Grove 3 games to 1 in the North final, only to lose in seven games.
