UPDATE: 24 year old Lisa Miel has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of Kirk Morin.
A routine traffic stop in Taylor, BC Sunday have led police to discover the body of a 51 year old man. Shortly before midnight Sunday police pulled over a white pick-up truck in Taylor, however the woman driving the vehicle was not the registered owner.
An investigation led police to discover the body of Kirk Morin next to the Alaska Highway in Taylor. The woman has since been taken into custody. Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity between a man and a woman or involving a white Dodge duelly pick up in Taylor on Sunday is asked to contact Fort St. John RCMP.
The Prince George Major Crimes Unit has been called in to help with the investigation into Morin’s death.
