Man wanted for July double stabbing

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted for a double stabbing in Grande Prairie. 55 year old Tony Brian Whitford is wanted on two counts each of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Two people were stabbed in the area of 100th Street and 97th Avenue back on July 26th. There’s no update on their condition, but it’s believed Whitford may have fled to Edmonton.

He’s described as Aboriginal, five foot eight, 200 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. Anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is should contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
