Numerous GPPSD schools see leadership changes after seven new principals and vice principals selected for 2024-25 school year

Seven new principals and vice principals have been announced for numerous GPPSD schools for the 2024-25 school year.

Kim Caron, Katherine Grenier, James Hudyma, Brian Mayea, Matthew Pepper, Teresa Rawlyk, and Krista Sterr have been appointed vice principals and principals for Isabel Campbell, Grande Prairie Composite, Maude Clifford Public, Riverstone Public, École Montrose, and Grande Prairie Christain school.

GPPSD Superintendent Sandy McDonald says the appointments came after being “carefully chosen” based on numerous factors.

“Effective leadership is essential for creating school environments where every student has opportunities to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally,” he says. “I am confident our students, families, and staff will continue to see high-level, professional leadership within their schools and experience welcoming, caring, and safe learning environments.”

Isabel Campbell will see a nearly entire leadership change with the appointment of Teresa Rawlyk as Principal and Kim Caron as Vice Principal of the school.

All of the selected individuals boast an extensive background in education both in Grande Prairie and nationwide.
