Eastlink Centre’s aquatics area has been closed until further notice due to unsafe air quality throughout the City of Grande Prairie.
Smoke from the ongoing wildfire situation in the county has elevated the city’s air quality outside of safe conditions leading to the closure for the sake of the health and safety of patrons and staff.
As a result of the closure, all bookings and drop-in usage has been cancelled and the city says staff will continue monitoring air quality and will provide an update when the aquatics area is deemed safe enough to reopen.
