Dawson Creek elementary school damaged by fire

The Dawson Creek Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire at Tremblay School just before lunch Wednesday.

It was quickly contained to the recycling room, but large fans were needed to get rid of some of the smoke.

Despite efforts, that wing of the school sustained extensive smoke damage.

Deputy Fire Chief Bob Fulton credits a well-practiced fire drill for getting staff and students out of the building quickly with no injuries.
